Last Isle of Man TT day – Further delays

The wet weather during the race week has continued to lead to delayed races. Also the races today, Saturday June 9th, are delayed due to the weather conditions.

The mountain road is currently said to be closed at 14:00 and the rest of the course closing at 15:00.

The three lap Lightweight race is currently expected for 15:30. That is expected to be followed by the Monster Energy Parade Lap and then finally the six lap PokerStars Senior race at 17:15.

12:45 status update

The main issue, why the race can not start yet, is because of the mist up on the mountain road, where visibility is less than 50 meters.

The road is also quite damp around Greba castle but the people in the inspection car are quite confident that, that will be dried up in time for 3-4pm o’clock.

If delays are ongoing after 17:00-17:30 the Lightweight and TT Senior races may have some laps reduced.

Road closure/opening

- The road, except the mountain road will open at 21:30 at the latest.
- Mountain road will open at the latest 22:30.
