Glen Helen

Glen Helen is a hidden gem and can be a bit tricky to find if you haven’t been there before. The easiest way is to turn right at the traffic stop in St John’s, if you are coming from Douglas. You will go straight forward from there until Glen Helen suddenly appears on the right hand side. But be observant, it is placed in a bend so if you drive too fast, it may be easy to miss.

Afternoon Tea at Niarbyl Café

On Sundays we usually go somewhere on the Island for Afternoon Tea with friends. This time we made reservations at Niarbyl Café.
Five adults and two small children arrived at three o’clock at the café. Our friends had never been to Niarbyl, and they where amazed by the panoramic views.

The Sound

This is a great place to come, whether you are an adult with or without children.
We have been here a few times, but this time we where surprised with seeing a bunch of seals playing around in the water between the mainland and The Calf of Man.
The weather was stunning on this particular day however it was very windy.
We ended up sitting on a wooden bench for half an hour, just watching the seals play around in the water.
So if you do have children, bring them here, and let them see the beautiful nature and views that surrounds the Calf of Man.
